How to reach us?

by Tram

If you are arriving by train at Halle/Saale main station (Hauptbahnhof) please take the tram number 4 or 5 in direction to Kröllwitz.

  • Get off at the station „Straßburger Weg“.
  • Change on the left side of the street (in driving direction) towards the main entrance
  • Turn here to the left into Von-Danckelmann-Platz 4 and walk about 30-40 meters.
  • The office and the secretary’s office of Professor Binder are at 4th floor, room 4.09 and 4.08.
  • The laboratories are at 3rd floor

Tickets for Zone 210 (Halle city) at the machines of the HAVAG at nearly every tram station, or you can also buy them from the tram-driver.

by Car

coming from Berlin / Leipzig / Munich

  • Drive on the freeway A9 until exit Halle (Saale) / B100 respectively exit A14 Halle-Peißen/B100 
  • Go on the  B100 until the entrance of Halle 
  • Turn to the left at the first traffic light, please use the right lane. 
  • After 200m turn to the right in direction B6 / Magdeburg 
  • After a very short drive at the B 6 leave the B 6 at the exit „Wolfensteinstrasse“ 
  • Drive ca. 1km straight on and follow the main road turning to the right and after about 150 m to the left (from Wolfensteinstrasse into Große Brunnenstrasse) 
  • Cross the river Saale on the bridge “Giebichensteinbrücke“ (Kröllwitzer Strasse) 
  • After crossing the bridge turn off to the right and drive under the bridge the one-way street “Talstrasse” along the river Saale 
  • After reaching the STOP-sign turn to the left into the street “Weinbergweg” 
  • Follow the street until you reach the first cross road with traffic light 
  • Go straight on, cross the tram line and turn into the “Walter-Hülse-Strasse “ 
  • Turn to the right at the first cross road into the “Theodor-Lieser-Strasse” 
  • Drive straight on and cross the Von-Seckendorff-Platz, you will find a parking place, please park your car here. 
  • You can see the Von-Danckelmann-Platz, the building is U-shaped 
  • The Institute for Chemistry is the building in the middle, Von-Danckelmann-Platz 4 (see Building layout) 
  • Please use the entrance under the stairs 
  • The secretary’s office and Professor Binders office are in the 4th floor 
  • Laboratories are in the 3rd floor 

coming from Magdeburg

  • Drive on the freeway A14 and exit to Halle-Trotha / B6 
  • Follow the street B6 about 1,5 km after reaching the city of Halle 
  • Follow the sign „B 80 Eisleben / Burg Giebichenstein“ and turn to the right into the  “ Seebener Strasse” 
  • Cross the river Saale on the bridge “Giebichensteinbrücke “ 
  • After crossing the bridge turn off to the right and drive under the bridge the one-way street “Talstrasse” along the river Saale 
  • After reaching the STOP-sign turn to the left into the street “Weinbergweg” 
  • Follow the street until you reach the first cross road with traffic light 
  • Go straight on, cross the tram line and turn inside right into the “Walter-Hülse-Straße “ 
  • Turn to the right at the first cross road into the “Theodor-Lieser-Strasse”

coming from Eisleben / B 80

  • Drive on the street B 80 until the big crossroad “Rennbahnkreuz” 
  • Follow the sign “Kröllwitz / B6 / Magdeburg” and drive about 800 m straight on 
  • Near the “Eissporthalle” you will find a sign at the left side of the street
